Marriage License Application

Name Change:

Getting a marriage license with your new name on it does not mean your name has automatically changed. If you need to change your last name, you can use an online marriage name change kit.

Officiants:

Any ordained clergyman whatsoever, without regard to the sect to which they belong may perform marriages. At the time of the marriage the officiant will give the couple the completed Keepsake and return the completed License and Certificate of Marriage to the Douglas County Clerk where the license was obtained.

Valid:

License is valid for 1 year.
The license can only be used within the State of Nebraska.

Copy of Certificate of Marriage:

June 1976 to the present, contact the County Clerk's Office in which the license was issued.
You will need to provide the following information:
Name of the groom and/or bride, Date of Marriage.
