Simply know at “The Bronx”, Bronx, NY is famous for many things. Sure, you know it as the home of the Bronx Zoo, the Bronx Bombers (aka, the New York Yankees), and the birthplace of hip hop but there’s a lot more to NYC’s northernmost borough too. Getting a Bronx, NY Marriage License

The first step to getting married in any New York State location is to get a Marriage License. Any New York State license is valid in any municipality within the state but you can easily get one right in the Bronx. You do this by going to the Bronx County Clerk’s Office located at 851 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10451. They are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and closed on Saturdays, Sundays and all recognized government holidays. Bronx Zoo

If you want something out of the ordinary and most definitely different than any other wedding you have ever been to, the Bronx Zoo offers itself up as a wedding venue. The zoo has been around for over a hundred years and has many beautiful, old buildings on its property. It has lots of great scenery for picture backgrounds and, of course, hundreds of animals! Wave Hill

If you are looking to get married in a beautiful garden with unbeatable views, check out Wave Hill. This mansion, built in 1842 (and renovated in 2013) has served as a summer house for the likes of Teddy Roosevelt and Mark Twain. Today, it is a perfect historic wedding venue with stunning views of the George Washington Bridge, Hudson River and the Palisades across in New Jersey.

 

Yankee Stadium

The New York Yankees have hosted many World Series at Yankee Stadium and even more weddings for the most die-hard fans. At a Yankee Stadium wedding, the scoreboard can display a special wedding message, or broadcast your ceremony. The “Wedding March” can be played over stadium speakers and you can get married behind home plate or in front of the Yankees’ dugout. City Island
